Traffic accidents tie up major Lower Mainland roads

Lower Mainland emergency crews were kept busy by a series of bad traffic accidents around the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley, and along the Sea to Sky Highway on Wednesday.

  • A truck crashes into a concrete barrier on the south side of the Massey Tunnel
  • A tractor-trailer rolls over on the Sea to Sky Highway south of Porteau Cove
  • A car crashes into a house at West 49th Avenue and Cambie Street in Vancouver
  • A tractor-trailer and a car collide on Highway 1 west of 232 Street

The accidents caused traffic delays throughout the day. Some of them, like the truck south of the Massey Tunnel, have since been cleared.
