Suspicious death investigated in Quesnel, B.C.

The RCMP's North District Major Crime Unit is investigating the death of a man in Quesnel, B.C. after paramedics found the 67-year-old unresponsive in a home.

Quesnel RCMP and the North District Major Crime Unit say the death of 67-year-old man is suspicious.

The RCMP's North District Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a man in Quesnel, B.C. after paramedics found the 67-year-old unresponsive in a home.

On Friday, police and paramedics responded to a 911 call that came from a house in the 100 block of Brears Road North in Quesnel.

Officers say in a release that evidence found in the home has led them to believe the death may be suspicious.

The cause of death has not been determined, while the investigation continues.

Police are not releasing more information at this time, saying that they want to protect the "integrity of the investigation and possible court proceedings."

The release adds that officers do not believe there is any current risk to the public in relation to the incident.
