Police have located and seized a vehicle that they say may be connected to the stabbing death of 22-year-old Kyle Yellowbird, of Vancouver.

Yellowbird and a 17-year-old friend of his were stabbed in a fight just after 1 a.m. PT Friday in Surrey's Guildford area.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team's Sgt. Adam MacIntosh said Saturday that police had identified a "person of interest" Friday, and began examining a vehicle that was seized around the same time.

"The investigation is progressing and all information continues to point to this being a spontaneous event that resulted in two people being seriously injured, one fatally," MacIntosh said.

MacIntosh said no arrests have been made, and police continue to seek witnesses.

Police in Vancouver are also seeking information about the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old that also happened early Friday morning.
