Delta Police says the first incident happened at around 8 a.m. PT as two Grade 8 girls were walking to Seaquam Secondary School in the Sunshine Hills area of North Delta.

As they entered a footpath, a man approached them from behind, and sexually assaulted one of them. He then fled.

Police believe the same man, as he was fleeing, then sexually assaulted a Grade 9 girl nearby.

The suspect is described as white man about 35 to 45 years old, with long blond hair and a patchy, short beard with a mix of light and dark hair. Police say he was wearing a black leather jacket, boot-cut jeans, a white, black and red scarf and a toque that had 3-centimetre-wide stripes in black, white and grey.

The Delta Police Department says it has not yet located a suspect.

Anyone with information on the assaults can call the department at 604-946-4411.
