RCMP say 35-year-old Satvir Sidhu who had gone missing from Surrey has been located and is safe.

Police had asked for the public's help finding Sidhu, last seen Sunday night in the 8600 block of 148th Street in Surrey.

"Surrey RCMP would like to thank the public as well as the local media in their assistance in locating the male safe and well," said Staff Sgt. M.A. Hedderson.

His family had said it was out of character for Sidhu to be out for this long and they were concerned for his health and well-being.
