Police say a man resembling this sketch sexually assaulted a teenage girl in the Guildford area of Surrey, B.C. on Jan. 28. (Surrey RCMP)

"Investigators are hoping someone will recognize the suspect from the composite sketch," said Cpl. Scotty Schumann.

"Not only do we have the sketch but investigators will also be looking for surveillance footage from the surrounding businesses."

The attack happened at around 3:25 p.m. PT last Thursday, when the 17-year-old girl noticed the man was following her as she walked southbound in the 10200 block of 152 Street.

The man asked her for directions, before grabbing her from behind and groping her, according to police. The girl fought back and yelled at him to stop. He said he was sorry, but continued anyway.

Finally, police say the girl punched the man and he fled the scene.

He is described as Hispanic or possibly Filipino, between 17 and 20 years old and six feet tall with a medium build. He is well spoken, with no accent.

He is also thought to have facial blemishes, short brown hair and brown eyes, set far apart. He was wearing a hoody, possibly red, grey or black, with the hood up, black shorts, or possibly short pants and black shoes.
