The cold snap at the end of the holidays delighted many a skater and hockey player who came out to a frozen pond in South Surrey.

Christian LeBlanc captured this drone footage on Jan. 3. He was driving on Highway 99A when he saw the skaters. He raced home to get his drone, because he said he knew it would make a great shot.

LeBlanc shot several videos, each about 20 minutes long and then edited the video together.

Others shot videos of the skaters on the ice at eye level.
