The RCMP are investigating a possible abduction outside a mall in Surrey, B.C., on Saturday night.
Police say a 1990s, four-door Mercedes Benz sedan stopped in front of a Shoppers Drug Mart in the parking lot of the Surrey Central City Mall around 5:50 p.m. Three men then exited the car, and two of the men appeared to force the third man into the trunk of the vehicle.
The two men then drove the car out of the parking lot toward Old Yale Road with the third male locked in the trunk, police say.
The three men are described as possibly Caucasian. The vehicle appeared to have a sunroof, no tinted windows, and a piece of paper (resembling a Temporary Operators Permit) in the right rear window.
"Until proven otherwise and for obvious safety reasons, we are assuming this to be a real incident," Cpl. Bert Paquet said in a statement.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS.
