One person is dead and sixteen others have been taken to hospital after a car and charter bus collided west of Kamloops on Friday afternoon.
Reports indicate the driver of the car was killed in the crash. Police say initial reports indicate the car may have crossed the centre line.
Dan Howe, CEO of Special Olympics Canada, confirms 23 athletes and staff from Prince George were on board the charter bus heading to the Winter Snow Festival in Kelowna.
Police say sixteen bus passengers with minor injuries were taken to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
