Woman found dead in Abbotsford

Police are investigating after a woman was found dead on the side of a road in Abbotsford Monday morning.
A passerby came across the body at around 10:15 a.m. PT on the side of Riverside Road, near King Road.
Const. Ian MacDonald said patrol officers and the forensic identification unit attended the scene but few details are known at this point.
"We are seeking to answer some questions and do what we need to do, to determine what exactly we're dealing with apart from a deceased person at this point," he said.
MacDonald said the Abbotsford Police Department would be consulting with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) over the incident.
