A 70-year-old Vancouver Island man is clinging to life after being shot in the chest with an arrow.
Police were called to a residence on Maple Bay Road just after 7 p.m. PT Sunday night, said Duncan RCMP Cpl. Jon Stuart.
“A father had been shot in the chest with an arrow, [allegedly] by his adult son,” Stuart said.
“The victim was taken to Victoria General Hospital by air ambulance. The suspect was arrested on scene and remains in police custody.”
Police expect charges will be laid against a 50-year-old man later on Monday, Stuart said.
