Vancouver police are looking for a suspect in a break and enter who they say rammed through a police barricade with a stolen pickup truck.
Officers interrupted a break and enter at a business in the 3400 block of Lougheed Highway at about 9:45 p.m. PT Thursday.
Police say a male suspect hopped into a stolen pickup truck and fled east on Lougheed Highway.
When police tried to corner the truck, the suspect allegedly smashed through the police cars and headed into Burnaby. One officer suffered minor injuries in the crash and was treated at the scene.
The truck was later found abandoned near Eton Street and Willingdon Avenue.
Police are looking for the male suspect and a female passenger.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s, about five feet ten inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a toque and blue jeans, and may have suffered a head injury in the crash.
There is no description of the woman who was in the passenger seat.
