Skier dies after accident on Cypress Mountain

West Vancouver police say a 26-year-old Vancouver man has died after a ski accident on Cypress Mountain on Saturday.
The man, whose name has not been released, went over a 10-foot embankment and crashed into rocks and mud below.
Witnesses performed CPR for 45 minutes before rescue crews arrived.
The man was eventually airlifted to hospital, where he was in intensive care for 24 hours.
Police say he was an experienced skier and was prepared for the conditions.
