Demand on food banks as high as ever

CBC will host its 26th annual Food Bank Open House on Friday at its building in downtown Vancouver.
Food banks, which started as a temporary solution to feed the hungry, have become a fixture in almost every B.C. community.
Those resources now feed nearly 100,000 people every month in this province.
