Surrey ER slated to reopen Monday

Construction crews damaged a water main, flooding Surrey Memorial Hospital's emergency room. (CBC)B.C.'s busiest emergency department is scheduled to reopen on Monday — two weeks after it was completely flooded.
The ER at Surrey Memorial Hospital was closed suddenly when a construction crew hit a water main at the hospital, flooding the ER and medical imaging department.
Restoration crews have been working to get the ER up and running again.
According to the Fraser Health Authority, the emergency room and medical imaging department will reopen at 8 a.m. PT Monday.
The MRI machine, however, is still not operational and may be out of service for some time. Patients needing MRIs will be treated at the Jim Pattison Outpatient centre.
