Border lineups expected as Black Friday sales continue

Motorists are being advised to expect long lineups at Metro Vancouver border crossings as so-called Black Friday sales continue into the weekend — and Canadians flock to the U.S. to cash in on the deals.
Canada Border Services Agency spokesperson Faith St. John warns the Douglas, Pacific Highway, Aldergrove and Abbotsford-Huntingdon ports of entry will all be busy.
She says nearly 49,000 travellers passed through the Douglas border crossing on the Sunday after U.S. Thanksgiving in 2011, while 46,000 were recorded on Saturday.
She advises travellers to have all proper documents ready and declare all goods purchased while outside the country to speed up the process.
