Winter weather hits some parts of B.C.

It may seem like summer just ended, but the signs of winter are evident as snow fell in several parts of the province this weekend.
About five centimetres have fallen on Grouse Mountain, the first official snowfall of the season.
Operations manager Erik Bowkett says it's arrived four days earlier than last year.
"We have opened as early as November 10th back about 15 years ago, so you know the weather — we just take it as it comes, it's always unpredictable, but this is a very good sign. Everyone is excited."
Grouse Mountain needs about 60 centimetres before it opens but Bowkett says it shouldn't be long now.
"Everything is ready to go, so the more snow comes, the earlier we get open."
Meteorologists say it appears this year's snowfall will be about average.
