British Columbia's feuding Conservative Party members appear to have silenced their attacks on each other temporarily after weeks of public ultimatums over leader John Cummins.
Party officials were not answering calls Friday following a board of directors meeting where earlier threats were made to silence a vocal group of dissidents demanding Cummins quit.
The Conservative Party has not made an official statement about the meeting.
But Surrey-White Rock constituency association president Allison Patton says she and other dissidents are expecting to receive registered letters in the mail in the coming days from the party saying they've been turfed.
Party officials could not be reached for comment to confirm the existence of the letters or other actions involving the dissidents, including dropping Surrey regional director James Ram from his post.
Cummins has steadfastly maintained he will stay on as leader to fight the May provincial election and has branded the dissidents as a small group of noise makers.
