1 dead in Tsawwassen apartment fire

One person died in an apartment fire in Tsawwassen, B.C., early Friday morning, Delta officials have confirmed.
Firefighters were called to the two-storey apartment building at 5521 16th Ave. just before 2 a.m. PT.
About 60 residents were taken to the South Delta Recreation Centre, but officials confirmed one person died in the fire. Officials have not released any details of the person's identity.
The fire damaged three suites on the top floor of the building. The cause of the fire has not yet been released by investigators.
