Vancouver firefighters fought a three-alarm blaze at the Tandoori King Restaurant on the 8000 Block of Fraser Street Wednesday night.

“The fire started at approximately 5:45 pm,” said fire department Capt. Gabe Roder. “Firefighters arrived on scene to major smoke showing from the roof of this three-storey building.”

Roder said fire crews initially attacked the fire from inside the building, but retreated outside for safety when the third alarm was called.

There were no injuries.

On Thursday investigators said the cause of the fire appears to have been accidental.
