Lucic's Burnaby church sprayed with 'Canuks' graffiti

A Burnaby church that's attended by NHL Boston Bruin player Milan Lucic has been sprayed with obscene graffiti including a misspelled "Go Canuks Go."
On Saturday night someone spray painted obscene graffiti on the side of the Saint Michael the Archangel church, according to church secretary Ljubomir Kotur.
Members of the Serbian community are outraged their church has been targeted, said Kotur.
"They got to understand we all cheer for Canucks too. It is just that Milan Lucic is part of our Serbian Canadian community. He is family and he comes to this church but it has nothing to do with that last game."
Lucic brought the Stanley Cup to the church this past summer after his Boston Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks in the seventh game of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Kotur says removing the graffiti is going to be expensive for the congregation.
"Church and hockey doesn't have a lot in common, so we ask them not to do that anymore. It is very expensive now to paint the wall again and our church has a big mortgage already. It's going to cost us around $5,000 to cover what some young guys did," said Kotur.
Lucic, a power forward, was born and raised in Vancouver by his Serbian parents and grew up playing in the local leagues before eventually joining the Vancouver Giants in 2005. He was later signed by the Boston Bruins in 2007.
