Ask around at the Oval in Richmond, B.C., and basketball players not only know who Jeremy Lin is, they have already gone out and bought the same shoes he wears on the court.

“I saw every game he played,” says young admirer Ricky Sha. “He’s an incredible player … a short Asian guy who has become a sensation in the NBA.”

Two weeks ago, Jeremy Lin was a bench warmer for the New York Knicks.

But in the last six games, the 23-year-old point guard has helped lead the team to victory.

Call it Lin-sanity or Lin-spiration, it’s providing many young Asian basketball players with dreams of the big time.
