Vancouver police are asking for the public's help in locating a local musician who mysteriously went missing earlier this week.
Randy Ponzio, 35, left his Yaletown residence Tuesday night, headed to play at an east Vancouver club, and hasn't been seen since, Const. Jana McGuinness said Friday.
McGuinness said there has been some activity with Ponzio’s bank account in the past two days, but no sign of him.
Those who know Ponzio said the disappearance of the father of three is out of character.
“What's out of character is when he didn't show up to pick up his kids,” said Ben Newman, a friend. “That's when we all got worried and decided we should probably step up and help out however we could if indeed if he was in trouble"
Ponzio recently won a Lower Mainland music contest, was recording a new album and performing regularly in local clubs.
Ponzio is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds .
