Teachers at Langara College set up an information picket line around the Vancouver campus on West 49th Avenue on Thursday morning, but it is not expected to disrupt classes.

The faculty association says the job action is not a strike, but hopes it brings attention to stalled negotiations.

Instructors at the college have been without a contract since last March and served 72-hour strike notice earlier this month.

The associations says its members need higher wages, better benefits and more help in the classroom.

Meanwhile, a strike continues at the four campuses of Vancouver Island University after the faculty association walked out on March 11.
