A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a B.C. man accused of selling tickets for the Vancouver Olympics but never delivering them to buyers.

Sean McConnell Stuart of West Vancouver is charged with fraud, theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

Stuart, 31, offered tickets for sale online on Craigslist and Kijiji for events ranging from the opening ceremonies to the gold medal hockey game of the 2010 Games, West Vancouver police allege.

They said Stuart collected a 50-per-cent down payment from most of his victims, promising to follow through with the tickets when he got them from VANOC, the Olympic organizing committee.

But he never delivered the tickets and VANOC says he never had an account with the organization, police said.

Stuart is alleged to have collected more than $60,000 from at least 26 victims in Canada, the U.S. and as far away as Croatia.
