Car flies into Vancouver building excavation

A car ended up on its roof after it was driven into a Vancouver building excavation at Main Street and 30th Avenue East. (CBC)A car has driven into a construction site excavation in East Vancouver, landing on its roof about four storeys below the road surface.
Witnesses said the driver was pulled from the vehicle at the site and Main Street and 30th Avenue East after the mishap, at about 5:30 p.m. PT.
The driver, who was the only occupant, was transported to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries, police said.
The accident happened after the car collided with another vehicle in the intersection.
