There was no evidence of a physical struggle before West Vancouver teenager Murphy Delesalle died, police say. (Facebook)A West Vancouver teenager has died after jumping from a moving SUV driven by her mother, police say.
Murphy Patricia Delesalle, 16, went into full cardiac arrest and was rushed to hospital but could not be saved, said a West Vancouver police spokesman.
Const. Jeff Palmer said police have not found any evidence of criminal action in Delasalle's death shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday.
"There's nothing to indicate the girl exited the car against her will and no evidence of a physical struggle," Palmer said.
He said the specific cause of death has not been conclusively determined.
Traffic accident experts are analyzing the incident, which took place on the 400 block of Keith Road, and police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
Police are also working with area schools to provide counselling for Delesalle's friends.
