Richmond RCMP have arrested a second teenager in connection with racist graffiti found on the walls, ceiling and stairwell of a shopping mall parkade.
Police say the 16-year-old was arrested at a Richmond Sky Train station Thursday on suspicion of mischief.
He hasn't been charged yet but is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 25.
Police were looking for two Caucasian men captured on camera at the Empire Centre mall earlier this week drawing swastikas and leaving comments such as "F--k the Chinese."
The Empire Centre shopping mall near No. 3 and Leslie roads caters to the city's large Chinese population. More than half the nearly 200,000 people in Richmond are of Asian descent.
On Wednesday, police arrested an 18-year-old, who is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 14.
Richmond RCMP have said the case could turn into a hate crime investigation, but they noted most of the graffiti was aimed at the police.
