Mounties seized 1,500 plants in the bust. (RCMP)Mounties in Kamloops, B.C., have seized 1,500 plants from a marijuana grow operation in the Red Lake area.
On July 27, members of the Kamloops RCMP executed a search warrant on a rural property, about 40 kilometres northwest of Kamloops.
Officers discovered what they are calling a "large" greenhouse grow operation with 1,500 mature, healthy plants.
A 45-year-old man, who police say has a criminal record, was taken into custody at the scene.
Police say he could be facing charges of production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
This is the second time a marijuana grow operation has been discovered on the same property. In 2008, 1,200 plants were seized in a bust involving a different property owner.
