Plane makes emergency landing in Port Coquitlam field

RCMP were quickly on the scene after a small plane landed in a sports field in Port Coquitlam Monday. (Submitted by Allan Reyes)No one was injured when a pilot made an emergency landing in his single-engine aircraft in a sports field Tuesday afternoon in Port Coquitlam, east of Vancouver.
The pilot was the only person aboard the aircraft when it made the sudden landing in Gates Park.
It's not known if anyone was in the field when the plane came down at about 3 p.m. PT.
The nature of the emergency has not yet been made public.
Police secured the scene at Reeve Street and Wilson Avenue shortly after the aircraft landed.
