Two men have been arrested in connection with an attack on a cab driver in West Vancouver early Sunday morning.
Police said four men turned themselves in late Wednesday after pictures captured on the taxicab's security camera were released.
"Our investigators are recommending a charge of robbery and mischief against a 21-year-old West Vancouver man," said Const. Jeff Palmer.
"We are recommending a single charge of robbery against a second 21-year-old West Vancouver man. The other two were released with no charges."
The attack happened just after 2 a.m. PT Sunday on Marine Drive near Taylor Way.
Police say the driver and the men got into an argument concerning the cab fare. The men allegedly dragged the driver into nearby bushes, police said, then kicked and stomped his head and body.
It's also alleged they robbed the driver, who was treated in hospital for his injuries and released.
Palmer said it's believed alcohol was a factor in the attack.
The men facing charges are expected to make their first court appearance Thursday morning.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call the West Vancouver Police Department at 604-925-7300.
