Six people are recovering in hospital from stab wounds suffered in two overnight altercations in Metro Vancouver.

In Surrey, four men were stabbed in what RCMP said was a street fight that erupted before 10 p.m. Friday night in the 7600 block of Anvil Way.

A few hours later, Mounties in Burnaby were called to the Metrotown SkyTrain station, where two people were found with knife wounds.

Some of the victims are still in hospital while others have been released, police said, adding that none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Police said they're interviewing witnesses in both attacks, but so far no arrests have been made.
