One of two SeaBus ferries connecting downtown Vancouver and North Vancouver across Burrard Inlet was taken out of service Friday morning because of a breakdown.

That leaves the remaining ferry to operate on a half-hour service from each terminal until further notice, TransLink officials said.

TransLink was uncertain when the ferry would be returned to service. The regional transit authority is still putting the finishing touches on a new SeaBus that will be added to the route in time for the Olympics.
