Man dies of stab wounds after pursuit

Police say one man is dead from apparent self-inflicted stab wounds after a police chase in Abbotsford, B.C., Friday night.
Police say the 57-year-old man evaded a roadblock, driving the wrong way down Highway 1 in the path of oncoming traffic.
The car only stopped after crashing into an unmarked police car and going over a spike belt.
When officers reached the man, they found him suffering from stab wounds to the chest they believe were self-inflicted.
The man, whose name has not been released, died at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to take place Monday.
Abbotsford police say homicide investigators have taken over the case because it could be viewed as an in-custody death.
