Earring bandit sought in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP are looking for a thief who has been snatching earrings right off the ears of Indo-Canadian women in Surrey, B.C.
There have been at least six similar thefts in the city between Sept. 15 and Oct. 3, and police fear there could be more unreported incidents, RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.
The thefts have all occurred near a shopping area at 128th Street and 96th Avenue.
The suspect has typically approached Indo-Canadian women from behind and snatched a gold earring from the victim's ear.
None of the victims — women aged 38 to 69 — has been injured in the attacks, police said.
In at least one instance, the suspect made his escape on a grey bicycle with a basket on the front, according to police.
The suspect is a Caucasian man, about 30 years old, between five feet 10 inches and six feet tall, unshaven, with a slim build, and they're hoping the public can help track down the robber.
