Environment Canada has issued weather warnings in southern British Columbia, forecasting a significant amount of rain.

As much as 50 millimetres could fall by Saturday evening in Greater Victoria, Howe Sound, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

Forecasters predict 40 millimetres of rain for much of southeastern B.C. by Sunday morning, in the Arrow Lakes, West Columbia, North Columbia and Kinbasket regions.

Similar rainfall warnings in the Okanagan Valley and the Shuswap region were cancelled Saturday afternoon.
