Arson blamed for East Vancouver apartment fire

Investigators say an apartment fire in East Vancouver on Wednesday night appears to be a case of arson.
A first-floor suite in a three-storey building at 1850 Adanac St., east of Commercial Drive, was fully engulfed when crews arrived at around 10 p.m. PT.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire to that suite, but several other apartment units sustained smoke and water damage.
Officials said most of the tenants should be allowed to return to the building Thursday while the arson investigation continues.
No suspects have been arrested.
