Police are investigating three stabbing deaths in two separate incidents Friday night on B.C.'s south coast.

Two people died in an altercation at a McDonald's restaurant at No. 3 Road and Granville Street in Richmond. The victims, found inside the restaurant, were pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived at about 11 p.m.

A suspect, a 33-year-old Richmond man, was arrested two blocks away and taken into custody.

Police say the victims are a 37-year-old man and an adult female, who has not been identified.

On the Sunshine Coast, a man is dead after a fight broke out at a house in Sechelt.

The RCMP said they were called to a home on Sechelt Inlet Road at about 10:45 p.m. An unidentified man with stab wounds was taken to hospital, where he later died.

A suspect was arrested later and taken into custody.
