Jodi Henrickson was last seen at a house party on June 20 on Bowen Island. (Facebook)The ex-boyfriend of 17-year-old Jodi Henrickson, missing for 10 days, was ordered by the court to stay away from her as part of his probation after he was convicted of assaulting her.
According to court documents, 20-year-old Gavin Arnott was convicted of assaulting Henrickson on April 8.
Arnott, a Bowen Island resident, was sentenced June 5 to 18 months probation, and one of the conditions was that he have no contact with Henrickson.
Henrickson, a Squamish resident, was last seen around dawn on Bowen Island after attending several house parties on June 20.
RCMP confirmed Arnott was at one of those parties but would not go into details about their interaction.
"I don't believe [police] are focusing on any one person at this time," said Squamish RCMP Cpl. Dave Ritchie.
Ritchie said more people on Bowen Island have come forward to talk to police, and residents are fully co-operating with the investigation.
Brother pleads for information
Rob Henrickson, Jodi's brother, has been putting up posters in an attempt to find his sister, and is appealing to Bowen Island residents to speak to police, even if that means calling the anonymous tip line.
"If anyone on Bowen Island knows more than they're saying, then I would like them to report it to the police... If anyone saw what my mother was going though, they would report this."
Henrickson said police need a "hint" of what is going on.
Henrickson is described as white with long, dark brown hair, a small build, approximately five-foot-three, wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt.
The search of Bowen Island, a short ferry ride from West Vancouver, will continue on Canada Day.
The RCMP say they do not have any evidence Henrickson left the island and will continue to search for her there.
