Police say Daniel Hughes hasn't been seen since last Friday. (Courtesy of the Vancouver Police Department)Vancouver police are asking for the public's help in finding a man missing since June 5.
Police say Daniel Hughes, 29, was last seen at approximately 8:15 a.m. PT last Friday.
It's believed he went for a bike ride sometime during the day, and didn't return home. Police said he may have set off from the area of Oak Street and 14 Avenue on Vancouver's West Side.
A friend of Hughes, Morgan Hay, said the disappearance is out of character, and friends have no idea what may have happened.
"He's just an absolutely fantastic guy," Hay said. "Everybody who met him liked him, and he has a large collection of friends and family who love him a lot. He's a very outgoing, positive guy, and quite a leader."
Hughes is described as a Caucasian male, six feet two inches tall, 180 pounds, with short brown hair and facial stubble.
He may have been riding a black and yellow Marinoni bike with racing handlebars, a water bottle holder and mirrors.
Vancouver police are asking anyone who may have seen Hughes to call 604-717-3321.
