Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, have two children. Prince Edward, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth, will arrive in Vancouver for an official visit on Thursday.
He will travel to Government House in Victoria on Saturday before returning to Vancouver on Saturday afternoon.
During his visit, the prince will present Duke of Edinburgh Awards to students in both cities, visit UBC and attend a flag dedication ceremony in at the Canadian naval reserve base in Stanley Park.
