Shots were fired Wednesday night in the Yaletown area of downtown Vancouver, but there were no reports of injuries, police said.

Multiple 911 calls came in at 7:30 p.m. PT about gunfire in the 100 block of Drake Street, Vancouver police Const. Jana McGuinness said.

Investigators who arrived on the scene found a number of shell casings on the ground.

Some witnesses said they saw two vehicles leaving the area after the shots were fired.

Police are trying to piece together what happened.
