B.C.'s Dead Frog Brewery is bring sued by Sleeman's Brewery for selling beer in clear bottles. (Dead Frog Brewery)A small B.C. brewery is refusing to croak after competitor Sleeman Breweries filed a lawsuit claiming ownership of its clear glass bottle design.
Dead Frog Brewery president Derrick Smith says Sleeman's lawsuit is silly and a waste of time.
Smith says there are many similar clear glass bottles on the market and that his product stands out because of its embedded frog.
Dead Frog's lone brewery was founded two years ago in Aldergrove and the company employs 17 people.
Sleeman is the third-largest brewing company in Canada, behind Molson and Labatt.
