Richmond Mayor Malcom Brodie will serve another term following a landslide victory Saturday night, and Delta Mayor Lois Jackson has been re-elected to the position she's held since 1999.
Brodie received 19,694 votes, easily outdistancing Ivan Gerlach, who got 5,207 votes, and Wei Ping Chen at just more than 1,811 votes.
Brodie has served on Richmond city council since 1996. He was elected to the mayor's chair in a 2001 byelection, then re-elected in 2002 and 2005.
Elected to city council are Harold Steves, Sue Halsey-Brandt, Linda Barnes, Bill McNulty, Greg Halsey-Brandt, Derek Dang, Ken Johnston and Evelina Halsey-Brandt.
The school trustees are Linda McPhail, Donna Sargent, Carol Day, Debbie Tablotney, Rod Belleza, Grace Tsang and Chak Kwon Au.
Delta mayor has 30 years in public office
Delta Mayor Lois Jackson captured 52 per cent of the vote in that city.
Jackson was elected to city council in 1973, as the first woman to hold the position. She's served as the city's mayor since 1999.
Councillors are Heather King, Bruce McDonald, Scott Hamilton, George Hawksworth, Robert Campbell and Anne Peterson.
