New mayors elected in most northern B.C. communities

In Williams Lake, Kerry Cook won the post.
Elected to city council are Tom Barr, Geoff Bourdon, Natalie Montoya, Surinderpal Rathor, Laurie Walters and Sue Zacharias.
In Prince George, Dan Rogers has been elected mayor.
Councillors are Brian Skakun, Shari Green, Murry Krause, Debora Munoz, Garth Frizzell, Don Bassermann, Cameron Stolz and Dave Wilbur.
School trustee is Bruce Mack.
Bruce Lantz is the new mayor-elect of Fort St. John.
Councillors are Trevor Bolin, Bruce Christensen, Don Irwin, Larry Evans, Dan Davies and Lori Ackerman.
Dawson Creek's new mayor-elect is Mike Bernier, after Calvin Kruk died of cancer in October.
City councillors are Marilyn Belak, Theresa Gladue, Sue Kenny, Terry McFadyen, Bud Powell and Cheryl Shuman.
Prince Rupert, Quesnel, Kitimat, Houston, Smithers, Telkwa, Fort St. James, Vanderhoof and Valemont all have new mayors-elect as well.
Chetwynd's Evan Saugstad was one of the only incumbent mayors re-elected in northern B.C.
