Three men have been charged with kidnapping and unlawful confinement in connection with a June abduction in Richmond, B.C., police said Thursday.

The woman, whose name was not released, was kidnapped from her car near her home on June 29, Richmond RCMP Cpl. Nycki Basra said.

"Her abductors released her on June 30. She did not suffer any injuries," Basra said.

"It is important to note that police have evidence to indicate that this victim was targeted and that there is no risk to public safety."

Three men, all from the Greater Toronto Area, were arrested on Wednesday at the Vancouver International Airport, Basra said.

Matthew Liu, 25, Peng Li, 28, and Wen Yang Shan, 19, have been charged with kidnapping and unlawful confinement.

They're scheduled to appear in court on July 7.

Police released no further details of the case.
