Burnaby RCMP have begun a homicide investigation after a disturbance at a house on 12th Avenue near Kingsway on Thursday night that left one man dead.
Police say they found an injured male at the scene who was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigative Team is conducting the investigation, which is still in its early stages.
"At this time, we are still working on confirming the identity of the male,'' Cpl. Jane Baptista of the RCMP's Burnaby detachment said Friday.
"An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death,'' she said.
Neighbours reported hearing yelling about 11 p.m. PT Thursday. At around midnight, five or six police officers with police dogs arrived at the house.
Police were yelling "surrender," neighbours told the CBC, and five to 10 minutes afterward, two ambulances and two firetrucks arrived and took someone away.
A single father in his mid-40s had lived in the house for at least a decade, and there was a male tenant in the basement, the neighbour said. Both men were seen after the incident, he said.
Police are offering a cash reward of $2,000 for any information leading to an arrest or charge.
