TransLink says the West Coast Express train running from downtown Vancouver to Mission will resume normal service Wednesday morning.
Commuters taking the West Coast Express to downtown Vancouver Tuesday morning were forced to depart at Coquitlam Central Station due to a CP Rail train derailment east of the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge.

Commuters working in the downtown core had to change their routine Tuesday morning after the derailment of a CP Rail train.
Twelve cars of a westbound CP Rail grain train derailed just east of the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
No one was hurt in the derailment, but the mess meant commuter trains bound for the Vancouver core were forced to stop at Coquitlam Station and passengers had to transfer to buses for a connection to SkyTrain.
TransLink spokesperson Drew Snider said commuter trains would be leaving from Coquitlam station rather than Waterfront Station Tuesday evening.
"Our customers will have to get to Braid Station and then transfer to the shuttle buses, which will go first to Coquitlam Central Station and pick up anyone there and drop off anyone there, and then over to Port Moody," Snider said.
The West Coast Express train normally runs eastbound from Waterfront to Port Moody, Coquitlam Central, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Meadows, Port Haney and finally Mission City stations.
