Police have ruled out any links to drugs or gangs in their investigation into the deaths of two people in Maple Ridge, B.C., following a house fire on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were performing first aid to a person taken out from a Maple Ridge, B.C., home, where a fire broke out late Thursday afternoon.

Police identified the victims as Richard Beck, 54, and Karen Louise Beck, 52, both residents of Maple Ridge.
The RCMP's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team continues to investigate the incident as a double homicide, spokesman Cpl. Dale Carr said in a press release Friday.
The Maple Ridge Fire Department was called to a house fire in the 12400 block of 263 Street. The Becks were found inside the home and were taken by ambulance to hospital, where both were pronounced dead.
The cause of their deaths has not been released.
