Police are trying to determine if three half-naked men seen running in traffic in Maple Ridge on Friday evening are connected in any way to a partially clothed body found in a parking lot early Saturday morning.

Police are treating the death of Maple Ridge resident William Bygrove, 27, as a homicide.

RCMP Cpl. Dale Carr, of the Integrated Homicide Unit would not say if a weapon was used.

In the meantime, police are looking into a report of three men dancing around in traffic Friday evening several kilometres from where the body was found.

Police can't say if the partially clothed men can be linked to the body, but they'd like to speak to them at least to ensure the three are OK.

"We're not sure if it's linked. There are some similarities," said Carr. "If they would contact us, or any witnesses would contact us, we would appreciate it."
